About Care:
Started in October 2024 Men Too are facilitating the care maintenance group sessions. These sessions are designed for Male parents, grandparent or carers in the Wirral area with children or young people under the ages of 18 (25 if SEND).
These sessions will focus on reducing the feelings of loneliness with group work and support, build confidence and self-esteem, Help improve mental health, help to increase child-centred fathering and promote respectful co-parenting with children’s mothers and help with safeguarding.
Activities range from mini confidence building sessions, anxiety management, anger management, pottery sessions, therapeutic art/sand play and a wide range of art/craft sessions that will be delivered from a nurturing environment. The sessions run on Thursdays from 10am-1pm at 32 Argyle Street, Birkenhead, CH41 6AE. The group has a maximum of 8 members per session, so we have a booking on system. If you would like to start receiving text invites each week, please speak to a member of staff.
We cater and welcome anyone who walks through the door with acceptance and support with any disabilities, learning difficulties, neurodiversity, sexuality, ethnic background, or religion. Our average group sizes range from 8 to 10 men, and we have a booking system in order to give everyone spaces fairly each week.
Each session will start with a check in and end with a check out to ensure Men’s mental Health wellbeing and the opportunity to talk about any thoughts, feelings, or actions that you have noticed that week.

We provide free snacks, drinks and lunch and have food / toiletries donations to take away. The sessions will always be focused on how to improve mental health and offer weekly support within a group environment. We have days out every six weeks and make sure the sessions are fun and enjoyable.
We have ground rules that each member agrees to commit too, so please abide by these rules while in session and if you would like to read through them, please click on the ‘About us’ section at the top of the page and go to ‘Centre ground rules’.
You can access any of our other services while attending the group so please feel free to enquire at any point with a staff member so we can facilitate your needs in any way we can.
